Security and privacy

NoKapp helps you see your spending. It does not hold or move your money, and it does not need your bank login.

What NoKapp keeps

Your account email, and the accounts, transactions, budgets, goals and settings you add or choose to forward. A card’s last four digits are optional and only used to match messages to the right account.

What it never does

  • It never asks for your bank login, card number or PIN.
  • It does not read your SMS inbox, messaging apps or Wallet. On iPhone it receives only texts you forward, from senders you allow. On Android it reads notifications only from the bank apps you choose.
  • It does not sell your data and does not show ads.

Imports you can check

New setups review before totals. Forwarding consent and automatic saving are separate switches. Pausing stops uploads. Security codes are blocked before upload, and the server checks again before storing anything.

Your original messages

You choose whether the original message text is kept or deleted after you review an import. Amounts, dates, accounts and categories stay either way.

AI, only when you want it

Ask, Advice and the optional reading of unfamiliar messages send only the text needed to answer to Google’s Gemini service. Reading unfamiliar messages is off until you turn it on, and every AI-read import needs your approval.

Protection

Your data is stored in your NoKapp account with our database provider, encrypted in transit and at rest, with access limited to your own account.

Optional reports

Anonymous crash and usage reports are off until you turn them on. They never include amounts, merchants, messages, names or emails.

Your choices

Export your transactions, change message retention, or delete your account and its data from Settings at any time.
